Apptegy is a company dedicated to transforming how schools communicate and shape the future of education. They are seeking a Product Marketing Specialist to support competitive research, product positioning, and sales enablement within a B2B SaaS environment. The role involves collaborating with various teams to translate market intelligence into actionable insights and maintain messaging consistency across different platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Support ongoing competitive research across Apptegy’s core markets, including competitors, pricing models, feature differentiation, messaging, and positioning
- Analyze win/loss data, RFP outcomes, and sales feedback to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities
- Translate market intelligence and research into actionable insights that inform: Product positioning and messaging, Value propositions and differentiation, Go-to-Market enablement
- Maintain and evolve competitive intelligence assets such as battlecards, comparison matrices, FAQs, and objection-handling guidance
- Partner with Product and Client Experience to incorporate customer insights, adoption trends, and voice-of-customer feedback into product roadmaps, adoption programs, and messaging
- Support the shaping product and solution positioning aligned to market needs and buyer personas
- Ensure messaging consistency across RFPs, sales materials, marketing assets, and internal documentation
- Help create and maintain core sales enablement materials such as one-pagers, pitch decks, FAQs, and internal documentation that support adoption
- Support the development and refinement of high-impact proposal responses that reflect current positioning, clear differentiation and competitive market strengths
- Conduct RFP scans and analysis to surface patterns in buyer requirements and competitor behavior
- Contribute to proposal writing and reviews as needed, with a focus on clarity, value-based messaging, and differentiation
Requirements:
- 1–3 years of experience in marketing, product marketing, communications, or a related field in a B2B SaaS environment (including internships or early-career roles)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical or complex information clearly and concisely for different audiences
- Comfort working cross-functionally and incorporating feedback from multiple stakeholders
- Ability to learn product capabilities, customer needs, and market dynamics, then translate them into messaging and content that supports launches and adoption
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through when managing multiple requests and timelines
- Experience in influencing competitive win rates across market segments, including RFP win rates
- Exposure to SaaS, EdTech, GovTech, or B2B marketing environments, ideally with experience supporting a product marketing or go-to-market function
- Experience contributing to RFPs, proposals, or other structured written responses
- Familiarity with K–12 education or public-sector audiences
- Demonstrated curiosity and a willingness to dig into product details, customer feedback, and competitive signals to inform your work
