Blue Water Thinking is a company dedicated to supporting Federal clients in achieving their Agency goals. They are seeking a motivated and skilled Lead Health IT Informatics Analyst to support the Department of Veterans Affairs by leading a team responsible for health IT informatics quality and providing expert consultation for large scale implementations.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the team responsible for configuration of Oracle Health and/or CPRS/VISTA to ensure health IT informatics quality
- Analyze new and complex project-related problems, creating innovative solutions
- Coordinate necessary support resources for the successful completion of projects
- Monitor project progress, making adjustments as necessary to ensure timely and cost-effective completion
- Collaborate with federal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to align Agile delivery with mission objectives, compliance, and procurement constraints
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a related field
- 8 years of experience in a client-facing position responsible for requirements capture, including 6 years in specialized Health Informatic positions
- Expertise in providing stakeholder management requirements gathering, information modeling, process documentation and liaison tasks required to support the development of clinical informatics software or other clinical informatics project activities
- Specialized skills include experience with requirements elicitation, requirements analysis, user acceptance testing, and artifact development / documentation of systems used in the capture or standardization of health information, clinical information, or other data related to therapeutic discovery, medical research, or life sciences
- Extensive experience with configuration of Oracle Health and/or CPRS/VISTA
- Proven ability to lead and manage large or complex projects working with federal agencies or contractors
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop innovative solutions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- MS Office suite skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, Outlook, etc.)
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the required federal public trust clearance for this role
- Demonstrated success in VA environment
