Cherokee Federal is a division of tribally owned federal contracting companies focused on supporting federal and public sector digital transformation initiatives. The Junior Salesforce Business Analyst will support Salesforce delivery, collaborate with stakeholders, and ensure solutions align with operational needs.
Responsibilities:
- Support end-to-end Salesforce delivery across core platform capabilities, including Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, and custom CRM solutions, with a focus on business analysis and requirements definition
- Act as the primary liaison for business stakeholders, building strong relationships and serving as a trusted advisor throughout discovery and delivery phases
- Lead and facilitate discovery sessions, stakeholder interviews, and workshops to elicit business, functional, and reporting requirements
- Document current-state and future-state business processes, workflows, and use cases to support solution design
- Translate business needs into well-defined user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional requirements aligned with Agile methodologies
- Collaborate closely with Salesforce Administrators, Developers, and Architects to ensure requirements are clearly understood and solutions meet stakeholder expectations
- Support backlog grooming, sprint planning, and ongoing prioritization in partnership with Product Owners and project leadership
- Validate requirements and solution designs through walkthroughs, prototypes, and iterative stakeholder feedback
- Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test scenario creation, execution support, defect triage, and final sign-off
- Support business analysis activities for enterprise modernization and legacy system consolidation initiatives
- Ensure solutions comply with federal governance, security, data, and regulatory standards
- Contribute to change management efforts, including documentation, training materials, and stakeholder communications
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Requirements:
- U.S. citizenship or legal permanent residency required
- Bachelor's degree required
- 1-3 years of experience as a Salesforce Business Analyst, Functional Analyst, or CRM Consultant, with a minimum of 5 years of overall professional experience
- Proven experience supporting Salesforce implementations in federal, public sector, or other highly regulated environments
- Strong business analysis expertise, including requirements elicitation, process modeling, user story development, and acceptance criteria definition
- Experience working within Agile or hybrid Agile delivery frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex business needs into clear, actionable functional requirements without direct responsibility for configuration or development
- Experience supporting large, multi-stakeholder enterprise programs and platform modernization efforts
- Salesforce Certified Administrator is required
- Excellent written and verbal communication, facilitation, and documentation skills
- Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
- Experience with legacy system replacement, process transformation, or platform consolidation preferred
- Salesforce Government Cloud or secure cloud environment experience preferred
- Additional certifications preferred, including Business Analysis, Agile, or Salesforce Consultant-level credentials
- Willingness to maintain and assign Salesforce certifications to Cherokee Federal and pursue additional certifications as required
