National Pump Company is a reputable organization with over 50 years of experience in delivering reliable vertical turbine pumps. They are seeking a detail-oriented Application Engineer to handle inside sales calls, provide technical support, and prepare quotations while collaborating with various departments to enhance processes.
Responsibilities:
- Understand and apply all aspects of proper engineering applications to general pump specifications
- Review standard municipal and industrial specifications and apply National Pump product to applications
- Provide written technical data instructions to Engineering related to information needed to process orders
- Develop, update and conduct customer training on specific product related subjects
- Work with sales and engineering departments to insure proper applications method(s) are followed and to support same with proper documentation
- Review pump specifications and submit quotations to customers as required
- Prepare all documents, quotations and submittals for proper presentation
- Oversee and prepare the quotation to sales orders upon award of contract from the quotation
- Work with Engineering and Sales to ensure proper handling of sales orders until completion
- May be required to attend trade shows on a local and or national level
Requirements:
- Excellent pump knowledge and people/communications skills, both oral and written are required
- Must be able to speak and write in English and able to work in a fast paced environment
- Must possess excellent computer skills in excel, word, outlook and other various types of computer software
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience, with 5-10 years municipal/industrial vertical turbine pump market experience
