Eleo is hiring a Sales Engineer to support their growing enterprise sales team. The role involves acting as a technical expert in the sales process, conducting demos, and designing solutions while collaborating with Account Managers and Sales Leadership to secure new business.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with Account Managers and Sales Directors to build winning technical and sales strategies
- Lead discovery to understand customer business and technical challenges
- Design and present technical solutions aligned to customer needs
- Deliver product demonstrations, Proof of Concepts, and competitive bake-offs
- Run onsite and remote presentations, whiteboard sessions, and technical workshops
- Own all technical activity in the sales cycle, including forecasting support
- Build strong relationships across customer IT teams
- Identify upsell and expansion opportunities
- Travel up to 50% within the Central region
Requirements:
- 5+ years of pre-sales engineering or technical sales experience
- Strong background in network engineering and/or network observability
- Experience selling software and/or hardware from a vendor perspective
- Comfortable working with enterprise or commercial customers
- Excellent presentation, communication, and customer-facing skills
- Networking: Routing, Switching, TCP/IP, BGP, NetFlow, SNMP
- Vendors: Cisco (required), Juniper (preferred)
- Packet-switched networks, Layer 4–7
- Network Performance Monitoring (NPM)
- Application Performance Monitoring (APM)
- Network Observability / Service Assurance
- Packet analysis tools (Wireshark, Sniffer)
- LAN/WAN (MPLS, Frame, ATM)
- Network Security concepts
- Linux operating systems
- Cloud & Virtualization: AWS, VMware, public/private cloud
- CCNA, CCNP, CCIE certifications
- Experience with SDN/NFV
- Experience with RFI/RFP responses
- Security audit exposure
- Formal sales or pre-sales training
