Digital Engineering Strategy Lead (remote)

Johnson Controls is hiring a Digital Engineering Strategy Lead as part of their Digitalization and Service Enablement team within the HVAC/R Chiller Engineering Organization. The role involves driving innovative initiatives around fault detection diagnostics and machine learning, coordinating with product engineering teams, and executing digitalization programs to enhance service offerings.

Responsibilities:

• Lead cross-functional teams without direct supervision to drive the completion of digitalization programs and regularly report on the status of projects
• Coordinate and execute test programs to validate potential methods of reducing human intervention for service and maintenance of chillers and their components
• Analyzes, designs, modifies and/or troubleshoots mechanical sub-components and sub-systems based on test data

Requirements:

• BS in Engineering, Data Science, or related field
• 7+ years of experience with program management for a product
• Experience in research environment and with product development processes
• Familiarity with digital technologies such as Connected Chillers, digital twins, artificial intelligence, and machine learning
• Understanding of technical concepts related to the large global air- and water-cooled chiller portfolio
• Highly motivated with ability to work independently and possesses a high drive for success
• Go-getter attitude
• Industry experience in chillers, HVAC equipment, or service
