Mechronix is a company focused on bringing the Connected Enterprise to life, and they are seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to contribute to various mechanical and electrical hardware projects. The role involves modeling, lab testing, and small design projects, providing comprehensive exposure to the business structure and culture of the company.
Responsibilities:
- This may include both mechanical or electrical HW and activities may include: modeling various aspects of drive/controller systems, lab testing, prototype evaluation, technology investigations, and small design projects
- Areas of work may be control systems, motor electromagnetics, and digital/analog electronics, product design and development
- You will have the opportunity to be a significant contributor, while getting comprehensive exposure to the business structure of the company and how we are helping our customers bring the Connected Enterprise to life
- Additionally, as a student associate there will be hosted activities and events intended to help you grow your network, develop your professional skills and immerse yourself in our company culture
Requirements:
- Must be pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0
- Must be enrolled for at least one semester after the internship concludes
- Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future
- Experience with CAD modeling and 3-D printing
- Interest and experience with simulation
- Basic computer programming (C++, C#, Java, Python or JavaScript)
- Previous experience with Industrial Automation products
- Experience using Agile methodology
