Intern - Software Engineer

eClinicalWorks is a privately held leader in healthcare IT, providing comprehensive, cloud based EHR/PRM solutions to medical professionals worldwide. They are seeking an Intern - Software Engineer to design, develop, and deliver testable, maintainable code while participating in design discussions and collaborating with internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, deliver testable, maintainable code to support our many ongoing initiatives
• Participating in design discussions
• Code review
• Communicating with internal stakeholders including mentors, product managers, quality assurance, security team

Requirements:

• Must be enrolled in a Master's program
• Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design
• Computer Science fundamentals in data structures
• Knowledge of modern programming language such as Java, Python
• Knowledge of frameworks like Spring and Angular
• Knowledge in database design and development using SQL Server
• Good understanding of scalable computing systems, software architecture, data structures, algorithms and experience with large datasets
• Knowledge of health IT domain including interoperability standards, CCDA, HL7
• Experience in Agile/SCRUM enterprise-scale software development
• Familiar with building secure software using modern security principles
• Demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in a highly innovative and fast paced environment
