Senior Business Analyst – Insurance domain on our W2

Tech Genius inc is focused on providing expertise in the insurance domain, and they are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to lead the triaging of insurance claims and incidents. The role requires extensive experience in the insurance sector, emphasizing analytical skills and efficient resolution of claims.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily triaging of insurance claims/incidents using defined SLAs and risk matrices
• Analyze data trends via SQL queries and Python scripts to identify patterns or anomalies
• Develop Power BI dashboards for triaging metrics and real-time visibility
• Collaborate with domain teams to resolve complex cases, ensuring audit compliance
• Automate repetitive triaging tasks using Python/Power Automate to improve efficiency
• Document processes and contribute to insurance domain best practices

Requirements:

• 7+ years in insurance domain (e.g., health, life, property & casualty), handling claims processing, risk assessment, or policy triaging
• Proven triaging expertise: Prioritizing high-volume claims/issues based on severity, regulatory needs, and business impact
• Strong analytical skills for root cause analysis and escalation management
• Exposure to SQL (querying databases for claims data), Python (automation/scripts), and Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate for reporting/workflows) highly preferred
• Excellent stakeholder communication for cross-functional collaboration with underwriters, adjusters, and IT teams
