About this role
Ramboll is a global architecture, engineering, and consultancy company that specializes in sustainable and high-performance infrastructure. They are seeking a Mid-level Mechanical Engineer to plan and create HVAC mechanical designs for data center facilities, collaborate with engineering teams, and ensure project timelines and budgets are met.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, conceptualize, and create HVAC mechanical designs for new and retrofit buildings/projects in the mission critical environment
- Duct design/piping design experience
- Central plant cooling design
- Perform typical HVAC engineering calculations to support design work
- Create technical drawings, plans, and specifications (using computer software) for review by Sr. Engineer
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams, and work with vendors and contractors
- Ensure project timelines are met and project stays within budget
- Able to travel to project sites
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
- EIT/PE a plus
- 5 years (min) of experience working for a design engineering firm, Mission Critical design experience a plus
- Firm grasp of engineering concepts including theoretical and practical applications for HVAC Systems
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit and Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to communicate effectively and clearly
- Must be self-motivated and know project design steps/requirements
