Senior Platform Engineer

Second Front Systems (2F) is seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Platform Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you'll spearhead our technical efforts to bring our DevSecOps platform (Game Warden) onto multi-cloud fabrics, working closely with government interlocutors to ensure compliance and security standards are met.

Responsibilities:

• Architect, improve, implement, and operate our cloud native platform for deploying software as a service offerings to the national security ecosystem
• Build, test, validate, and operate Game Warden in accordance with the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community security and compliance standards
• Establish benchmarks, outline key activities, and prioritize efforts across multiple initiatives and programs
• Develop and document new solutions, working independently, and contributing to a culture of diversity, innovation, and excellence

Requirements:

• U.S. citizenship due to government contract requirements
• Architect-level experience designing, implementing, and operating cloud-based infrastructure
• Deep expertise and experience with containerization
• In-depth experience with Kubernetes (K8s) and cloud service providers such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC), specifically design, management, and updating IaC with tools such as Pulumi in Golang and crossplane
• Ability to develop, optimize, and debug code
• Ability to design, build, and implement microservices in Golang or rust
• Ability to implement, modify, and maintain CI/CD pipelines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to understand technical concepts
• Strong commitment to documenting applications and processes you create
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Expertise with DevSecOps principles, components, and cloud computing providers and services
• Familiarity with Gitlab, Google Workspaces, Slack
• Availability to travel up to 25 percent of the time
• 5-7 years of relevant experience
• Certified one of AWS/GCP/Azure Solutions Architect
• Experience in systems administration, systems or software engineering, and/or computer science
• DoD 8570 compliance
