SCAN is a nonprofit health organization dedicated to improving care for older adults. The Business Analyst is responsible for analyzing business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and developing solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity, while collaborating with stakeholders and providing training and support to end-users.
Responsibilities:
- Data Collection and Analysis: Gather and analyze data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business decisions. Use tools like Excel, SQL, and data visualization software to extract and present data in a clear and understandable format
- Requirements Gathering: Work closely with stakeholders, including managers, team members, and clients, to understand and document business needs, requirements and user stories. Conduct interviews, surveys, and workshops to gather detailed information and ensure all relevant parties are heard
- Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement in existing business processes. Develop and recommend solutions to optimize workflows, enhance productivity and improve the end-to-end experience
- Reporting and Documentation: Create and maintain detailed reports, documentation, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders. Ensure that all business analysis activities are well-documented and accessible for future reference
- Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate communication between different departments and stakeholders to ensure alignment and clarity on project goals and progress. Present analysis results and business insights in a clear and concise manner, both in written and verbal formats
- End User Adoption: Support creation (or updates) to documentation, policies and desktop procedures. Help develop and deliver communications, user guides and training to promote adoption and utilization
- Gap Analysis: Utilize data to gather insights, assess performance, and identify gaps; Help define and implement solutions to address gaps, improve performance and elevate business outcomes

Requirements:
- 0-3 years of related experience
- Customer service experience, preferably in healthcare or health plan industry
- Working in agile delivery methodology, preferably SAFe framework
- System implementation, preferably with customer service technology (telephony, desktop, etc.)
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze complex data sets and extract meaningful insights to support business decisions
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively gather requirements and present findings to stakeholders
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify business problems and develop practical, data-driven solutions to improve processes and outcomes
- Customer-Focused: Takes a customer-centric approach -- placing the customer at the center of processes and decision making
- Program & Project Management: Strong organizational skills, ability to think about the end-to-end processes, manage multiple tasks, and excellent follow-through
