Intern: Summer 2026 - AI/ML Engineering Methods (Remote)

Pratt & Whitney is a leader in aerospace and defense, focused on transforming the future of flight. The AI/ML Methods group is seeking an intern to develop artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions for aerospace engineering challenges, contributing to impactful projects in the industry.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with team members to design, develop, and implement AI/ML models for applications such as predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, optimization problems, or natural language processing
• Analyze large datasets from various sources to extract insights and validate model performance
• Develop scripts or tools to automate data preprocessing, feature engineering, or model evaluation workflows
• Document methodologies and results clearly for internal presentations or reports

Requirements:

• Enrolled in a degree program in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering (Mechanical/Aerospace/Electrical), Mathematics, or a related field
• Minimum Cumulative GPA of 3.0
• Experience in Python or other relevant languages
• Experience with machine learning algorithms (e.g., supervised/unsupervised learning) and statistical methods
• Experience applying AI/ML in aerospace context
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) for ML workflows
• Experience working with data manipulation tools such as Pandas or NumPy
• Experience with libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn
