Responsibilities:
- Transcend functional lines to serve as an enterprise-wide leader accountable to full OpCo performance
- Develop proprietary market segmentation substantiated with macro drivers, customer insights, and competitive intelligence – align the org (up, down, across) on the most attractive segments & impactful initiatives that will extend our competitive advantage
- Generate a prioritized view of the most valuable customer problems to solve in weather analytics; convert this to a rationalized roadmap of internal product development and external innovation partnerships
- Expand product margins through rigorous portfolio maintenance including pricing, value engineering, product positioning, phase-outs/transitions, and component obsolescence mitigation
- Drive market visibility and demand generation initiatives that fuel near-term revenue growth, improved customer experience, industry thought leadership, and enhanced brand equity
- Raise the bar of performance through effective coaching, modeling leadership commitment to continuous improvement/VES, and building a culture founded on trust, collaboration, communication, and results
Requirements:
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience across commercial functions including strategy, marketing, product management, sales & service in an industrial B2B environment
- Significant experience leveraging financial models and business cases to drive investment decisions; able to distill primary and secondary research into clear conclusions and valid assumptions
- High level of strategic agility, excellent decision making and problem-solving skills, and demonstrated abilities to drive innovation, growth, and margin expansion
- Experience leading in a Lean environment (VES specifically a plus) and applying fundamental tools to drive results such as value stream mapping, standard work, daily management, and problem solving
- Understands the complexity of business needs and decisions within a matrixed organization. Must be able to consider available facts, constraints, competitive circumstances, and probable consequences
- Demonstrated leadership and managerial skills on a global level, attracting top talent, developing high performers, and holding people accountable for performance
- High level of cultural sensitivity and awareness to lead a global organization, while also engaging effectively across an experienced global peer group
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills; able to relate with associates at all levels of the org
- Travel up to 40%, including occasional international travel
