Agility Partners is seeking a qualified Support Engineer to support one of their banking clients in a fully remote, third-shift role. This position is responsible for monitoring and supporting enterprise production environments across mainframe and open systems platforms, ensuring production schedules run smoothly and incidents are resolved quickly.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor, support, and troubleshoot production schedules and workflows across:
- Mainframe environments
- Open systems
- Server backup environments
- Triage and resolve operating issues, escalating appropriately to minimize downtime and meet SLAs
- Execute and enhance standard operating procedures (SOPs), checklists, and turnover logs to support audit and compliance requirements
- Partner with users, programming teams, and senior staff to:
- Resolve incidents
- Analyze recurring issues
- Improve operational efficiency and reliability
Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in a related field or 1–3 years of equivalent hands‑on experience
- Experience in monitoring and supporting production schedules or batch processing environments
- Working knowledge of automated scheduling tools, preferably IBM Tivoli or similar platforms
- Familiarity with backup software such as TSM or comparable solutions
- Exposure to multiple operating environments and technologies, including: Windows, UNIX, IBM Mainframe (MVS, JES2)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently on the third shift
- Dependable and flexible, with availability to work rotating weekends and holidays in a 24×7 environment
