As a Senior Insurance Product Manager, you will drive the future of auto insurance, owning product performance and collaborating across various teams to ensure products meet member needs while remaining competitive.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Product Strategy – Develop and execute data-driven product strategies for Hagerty’s personal auto programs across assigned states
- Analyze & Optimize – Monitor profitability, retention, loss ratios, and customer experience. Translate insights into actionable recommendations
- Own the Product Lifecycle – Oversee ideation, pricing, filing, launch, and continuous improvement of products
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally – Partner with actuarial, underwriting, claims, state filings, marketing, and IT to deliver on product goals
- Communicate & Influence – Present product strategies and performance updates to senior leadership; support agent and member-facing teams during launches
- Ensure Compliance – Work closely with regulatory agencies to secure approvals and maintain compliance throughout the product lifecycle
- Leverage Advanced Tools – Utilize SQL, Tableau, and modeling platforms (Radar, Python, R) to identify emerging trends, forecast performance, and shape strategy
- Scale Across States – Apply experience launching and scaling insurance products across multiple jurisdictions with agility and precision
- Tell the Story Behind the Numbers – Connect data insights to strategy, using compelling narratives to influence business outcomes
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or related field (MBA or insurance credential preferred)
- Proven experience in insurance product management, actuarial, underwriting, or related roles
- Strong knowledge of auto insurance products, pricing methodologies, and regulatory processes
- Proficiency in data tools such as SQL, Tableau, or similar; strong Excel skills required
- Proven ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on execution
- MBA or insurance credential preferred
- Familiarity with public company requirements, including Sarbanes Oxley and key regulations, if applicable
