Impact Global Health Alliance is a nonprofit organization working to reduce preventable maternal and child deaths. They seek an experienced Writer & Communications Consultant to develop and deliver content that builds awareness and engagement with their work, aligning closely with the Executive Director and ensuring consistent messaging across various platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Build and deliver multiple, parallel content streams appropriate to key audiences
- Work directly with the Executive Director to align on the scope, cadence, and thematic focus for the integrated content deliverables
- Draft, edit, and finalize copy for all print and digital communications
- Incorporate technical feedback and ensure accuracy and clarity
- Maintain consistent messaging across platforms and products
- Review printed materials and envelopes prior to mailing
- Develop and post social media content across LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram
- Review, update, and help implement automated email journeys for four key audience personas
- Support the Director in building and maintaining a curated story library
- Support communications for faith-based outreach and volunteer engagement programs
Requirements:
- Advanced degree in Public Health, International Development, Communications, or related field
- At least 10 years of mid-level professional writing experience in public health, report writing, documentation and investment case development
- Experience in copy-editing, fact-checking and policy analysis, particularly in public health
- Knowledge of results-based management and results oriented approach to project implementation
- Knowledge of Country programming principles, INGOs and NGO networks, and strong knowledge of partnership principle in development work
- High level proficiency in standard computer software, in particular, Microsoft SharePoint, Word and Excel
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
- Use of AI is permitted but must be disclosed and monitored
- Nonprofit exposure preferred
- Familiarity with Impact Global Health Alliance programs is an asset
