About this role
Marathon TS is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer with strong Windows Administration expertise to support operations and sustainment activities within an enterprise Oracle Cloud Infrastructure environment. The role involves designing, implementing, securing, and optimizing cloud-based Windows environments while supporting automation initiatives and infrastructure modernization efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain secure Windows-based systems within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
- Administer and manage Windows Server environments and Active Directory (AD), including Group Policy, DNS, and identity services
- Perform system migrations to OCI, ensuring scalability, performance, and security compliance
- Automate infrastructure deployment and configuration using Terraform and Ansible
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation and operational efficiency
- Support Oracle Linux systems and Oracle Database integrations as required
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using CloudBees Jenkins
- Monitor system performance and optimize cloud resources for cost efficiency and reliability
- Support disaster recovery planning, backup strategies, and continuity of operations
- Ensure compliance with DoD security requirements and maintain secure system configurations
- Collaborate with development and cybersecurity teams to implement secure cloud-native solutions
Requirements:
- Active Secret clearance (fully adjudicated and current)
- Current CompTIA Security+ certification (required for DoD 8570 compliance)
- Strong experience with Windows Server administration and enterprise Active Directory environments
- Experience with PowerShell scripting
- Experience supporting Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
- Hands-on experience with Terraform and/or Ansible
- Experience supporting automation and cloud-native architectures
- Experience supporting production systems in secure federal or DoD environments
- hands on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI): 6 years (Required)
- Windows Server and Active Directory administration: 6 years (Required)
- CompTIA Security+ (Required)
- Secret (Required)
- One or more DoD 8570 baseline certifications such as CISSP, CASP+ CE, CySA+, SSCP, CCNA, CAP, CSSLP, GSLC, CCISO, or CND
- Experience with Oracle Linux OS administration
- Experience supporting Oracle Database environments
- Experience with cloud cost optimization strategies
- Experience supporting enterprise DevSecOps pipelines
