Test Engineer/Business Analyst

ECS is a leading mid-sized provider of technology services to the United States Federal Government, and they are seeking a Test Engineer/Business Analyst. The role involves designing and executing tests on software usability, analyzing results, and collaborating with development teams to ensure software quality.

Responsibilities:

• Design and execute test plans: Creating and running test cases to verify software functionality and identify defects
• Identify and document defects: Using bug tracking systems to report and track software issues
• Collaborate with development teams: Working with developers to understand and resolve identified issues
• Perform regression testing: Ensuring that bug fixes and new features don't introduce new problems
• Conduct performance and load testing: Evaluating software behavior under different conditions, including stress and load tests
• Maintain test documentation: Keeping records of test plans, test cases, and defect reports
• Staying up-to-date with testing trends and tools: Continuously learning about new testing techniques and technologies
• Participate in requirements and design reviews: Providing input on software requirements and design documents to ensure testability
• Create test reports: Summarizing testing efforts and results for project stakeholders

Requirements:

• Active Secret Clearance
• Must have experience on the DISA Storefront application
• Must have experience working with and within the Defense Information Systems Agency Storefront application
• Attention to Detail: Identifying subtle errors and inconsistencies in the software
• Communication Skills: Clearly communicating findings, both verbally and in writing, to developers and other stakeholders
• Analytical Thinking: Breaking down complex systems, identifying potential issues, and designing effective test cases
• Problem-Solving Skills: Troubleshooting and debugging issues, finding creative solutions to complex problems
