Business Analyst Intern

DEKRA North America is a global provider of comprehensive services and solutions, dedicated to improving safety, security, and sustainability outcomes. They are seeking a motivated Business Analyst Intern to analyze client data, develop findings, and assist in building data models that support multiple consulting solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to a safe and healthy work environment by actively participating, taking responsibility, and following established procedures and policies
• Review and resolve data quality and integrity issues to support the consulting operations team
• Implement and automate data analytics to improve the quality and timeliness of client deliverables
• Apply data science best practices to improve data collection, assessment, and safety analytics
• Manage and troubleshoot data-related issues, including preprocessing datasets and supporting the development of a master data model
• Develop presentations, reports, dashboards, and other analytic outputs to convey findings effectively
• Support client projects, including assessment planning, data collection design, and execution
• Assist with information systems utilization to streamline data processes and resolve client issues
• Contribute to additional projects as needed

Requirements:

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Math, or a related field
• Experience with statistical modeling, data analytics, and predictive modeling
• Proficiency in ETL, database programming, and data processing
• Strong understanding of data structures, transformation methods, and optimization techniques
• Familiarity with visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, QuickSight, Tableau)
• Experience with programming languages (e.g., Java, Python)
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
