Mechanical Engineer III

Meade Engineering, Inc. is a full-service design firm specializing in innovative engineering solutions for data centers and large-scale construction projects. They are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer III to join their design team, responsible for driving projects forward and designing mechanical and plumbing systems.

Responsibilities:

• Independently drive projects forward throughout design and construction phases
• Design mechanical and plumbing systems for data centers
• Oversee the production of all mechanical designs, systems and drawings
• Work amongst a cross-discipline design team, owners, and contractors to develop drawings and specifications
• Coordinate with external vendors, internal design teams and manufacturers
• Major equipment selection and scheduling

Requirements:

• 4+ years of Professional Mechanical Engineering design experience designing mechanical systems for data centers or other mission critical projects favorable
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Valid Mechanical Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred (will consider Engineer in Training certification)
• Experience working independently, and managing priorities and providing mentorship to junior staff
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and energy codes
• Ability to think strategically and demonstrate flexibility in order to achieve long-range objectives
• Self-motivated, comfortable with ambiguity and motivated to work as a team
• Top-notch organization, attention to detail combined with excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficiency with MS Office, AutoCAD, BlueBeam, BIM and Revit
