The Director will lead a team of Territory Managers and Underwriters, driving sales and underwriting relationships for commercial lines products and services, while managing a specific territory.
Responsibilities:
- This Director is responsible for a team of 8-9 Territory Managers (field-based senior production underwriters) and the respective book of business within our Commercial Middle Market Custom Solutions organization
- As a critical role in driving our middle market growth, this leader must be action-oriented, able to work at a high pace for an extended period, and focused on continuing to drive the business forward
- We'll count on you to build and maintain business relationships with agencies and/or brokers for sales growth and distribution expansion
- You'll primarily focus on portfolio analysis, relationship management, and account management for a territory
Requirements:
- Prior technical underwriting experience (with authority)
- Existing broker/agency relationships
- Ability to work at a high pace for an extended period
- Action-oriented mindset
- Experience managing a team of Territory Managers and Underwriters
- Ability to build and maintain business relationships with agencies and/or brokers
- Focus on portfolio analysis, relationship management, and account management
- Prior experience as a people leader
