Rackdog is a company focused on making bare metal infrastructure easy to deploy and operate. They are seeking a Business Development Representative to generate pipeline by prospecting AI-native startups and growth-stage companies, focusing on booking qualified meetings to showcase their dedicated bare metal platform.
Responsibilities:
- Pipeline Generation: Aggressively prospect AI startups via multi-channel outbound (phone, email, LinkedIn) to book qualified meetings
- Discovery & Qualification: Run initial calls to uncover customer pain points around cloud spend, GPU scarcity, and compute control
- Hit Your Numbers: Consistently meet or exceed monthly quotas for qualified meetings, pipeline generated, and deals influenced
- Market Presence: Set in person meetings to justify travel to industry conferences and events (~30%) to network and represent Rackdog in person
Requirements:
- 1+ years sales experience with a proven track record of consistently exceeding quota in past sales roles
- You are a motivated self-starter who is fearless when talking to new people
- You are comfortable with on-the-phone and in-person rejection, and you have the grit to relentlessly follow up with prospects
- You can articulate value propositions clearly, build instant rapport, and deeply understand customer pain points
- Familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce), LinkedIn, and modern AI GTM tools like Clay
- You have a genuine interest in the AI ecosystem
- You stay plugged into platforms like X/Twitter, LinkedIn, Reddit, and you understand the high-level basics of the space (e.g., inference vs. training workloads and what an agent is) so you can speak confidently with technical teams
- B2B SaaS experience, or experience selling into AI/tech verticals
