Flexon Technologies is a company specializing in technology solutions, and they are seeking a Mainframe Storage Engineer to manage and optimize storage pools. The role involves expert support for storage systems, performance tuning, and disaster recovery planning.
Responsibilities:
- Manage storage pools and optimize usage
- Provide expert support for space allocations and usage optimization
- Administer and maintain IBM DS8K storage systems
- Support large-scale parallel sysplex environments
- Perform system initialization, performance tuning, and optimization
- Support virtual tape operations (Luminex experience preferred)
- Work with DFHSM for hierarchical storage management
- Utilize FDR, MVSRM for backup/recovery management
- Support IBM GDPS (Metro Mirror, Global Mirror, Metro-Global, Hyperswap)
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution
- Install, upgrade, and maintain IBM/third-party storage products
- Perform SMPE installation and maintenance
- Use DB2 and IMS utilities; JCL, TSO; scripting (Rexx, CLIST)

- Luminex experience preferred
