Sheridan is seeking a Technical Product Manager to lead the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of enterprise technology solutions. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to translate complex needs into scalable technical solutions and guiding the delivery across the software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with product and business leaders to gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements
- Translate business needs into clear user stories, functional and non functional requirements, and technical specifications
- Analyze and document workflows, system interactions, and process improvements
- Evaluate and recommend platforms, tools, and solutions aligned with business goals and IT standards
- Present recommendations supported by data and sound technical judgment
- Serve on cross functional project teams to define, develop, configure, and implement new or enhanced technology products
- Own backlog refinement and prioritization in collaboration with Product and Project Management
- Coordinate across development, QA, business users, and third party vendors throughout the delivery lifecycle
- Support software releases, deployments, and configuration using Atlassian tools
- Partner with QA on test planning, UAT, and validation
- Track and communicate project status, risks, dependencies, and outcomes across multiple initiatives
- Champion Agile, DevOps, and continuous improvement practices
- Ensure solutions meet Sheridan technology standards and long term architectural direction
- Promote simplicity, reusability, and customer focused delivery
- Contribute to cross company technology initiatives and knowledge sharing
- Support evaluation of major technology initiatives and platform decisions
- Help document, standardize, and promote best practices across teams
- Enable adoption of approved tools, processes, and technologies
Requirements:
- Strong experience in business analysis, system design, and workflow optimization
- Solid understanding of SDLC methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, and Lean
- Proven ability to write clear requirements, user stories, and technical documentation
- Hands on technical experience with some combination of: Microsoft .NET and C#, ASP.NET, SQL databases and reporting, JavaScript or PHP, LAMP based web stacks, Atlassian Jira and Confluence, Analytics or BI tools such as Google Analytics
- Understanding of UI and UX principles, Bootstrap experience is a plus
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non technical stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong follow through
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
- At least 1 year in a lead, ownership, or influential leadership role
- Demonstrated ownership of product design and delivery execution
- Experience in publishing or print production is a plus
