Senior Network Engineer – Data Center & Ethernet Solutions

Matrix USA is a global, dynamic, fast-growing technical consultancy leading technology services company. They are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer with expertise in Ethernet technologies and data center networking to provide solutions throughout the sales cycle and support customer deployments.

Responsibilities:

• Provide Ethernet networking expertise throughout the sales cycle, partnering with customers to design, architect, and test advanced Ethernet solutions
• Develop and evaluate DevOps automation scripts for network operations, including network architecture design and switch configuration development
• Execute tasks related to network implementation, validation, and integration within data center environments
• Engage with customers to gather technical requirements, design next‑generation data center network architectures, and validate solutions through simulations and testing
• Configure and troubleshoot VXLAN‑EVPN‑based architectures
• Support customer deployments, deliver ad‑hoc knowledge transfer, and prepare comprehensive handover documentation
• Work independently and proactively prioritize tasks to optimize technology outcomes and improve customer experience

Requirements:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with networking fundamentals, Ethernet switch configuration, TCP/IP stack, and data center architectures
• Proven experience designing and validating data center network solutions
• Strong proficiency with VXLAN‑EVPN configuration and troubleshooting
• Background in network automation tooling (e.g., Ansible, Salt, Puppet)
• Ability to work autonomously, manage priorities, and collaborate effectively with customers
• Experience producing deployment documentation, knowledge transfer materials, and operational handovers
• B.Sc. in Engineering or CCNP certification (or equivalent experience)
• Strong combination of interpersonal skills and technical acumen
• Linux certifications or strong Linux operating experience
• Advanced internetwork expert certifications such as CCIE, JNCIE, ACE‑E (Data Center preferred)
• Experience working with Cumulus OS
• InfiniBand certifications or hands‑on experience
