ParsonsKellogg is seeking an experienced Program Manager with telecommunications expertise to oversee a major network modernization effort involving Fiber and Wireless network upgrades at multiple US facilities. The role involves managing all technical and design activities related to telecommunications, ensuring compliance during installations, and providing leadership in resolving design and technical issues.
Responsibilities:
- Provide overall management and direction for the telecommunication elements on the project
- Assist and produce technical documents related to the telecommunication elements (design, tender documents, technical memo, etc)
- Perform site inspections during the different stages of the installations to ensure the work on site is compliant
- Provide assistance and solutions to the contractor’s technical queries during all the stages of the design, installation and commissioning of the works
- Conduct design review activities and to ensure all Client requirements are met
- Report any major issues or expected conflicts
- Provide leadership in the resolution of all design and technical issues relating to the project
- Prepare presentations for Senior and Executive Management on all technical related matters
- Provide regular report updates on progress of resolution of all outstanding issues
- Coordinate with multiple discipline leads for technical matters
- Collaborates with the office facilities staff to address project space requirements
- Responsible for maintaining current and timely change orders
- Promotes technical and commercial excellence on the project through application of Quality Assurance processes
- Monitors and reports to management on the progress of all project activity within the program, including significant milestones, and any conditions, which would affect project cost or schedule
- Acts as the Company representative with the client and selected subcontractors during the program execution
Requirements:
- Ability to communicate and report to senior management and effectively liaise with other stakeholders including, contractors, suppliers, engineers and regulatory authorities, in the introduction of new technologies
- Ability to multitask and effectively problem-solve under high pressure
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or equivalent) is required
- At least 15 years of related IT and telecommunications experience including involvement in design and installation through to testing and commissioning
- Proven ability to perform in a managerial capacity, excellent written and oral communications skills (including strong presentation skills), and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations are required
- An active Secret security clearance is required for this position
