Boeing is a global leader in aerospace dedicated to innovation and collaboration. They are seeking a highly skilled Software Systems Engineer to support the Department of Navy Tomahawk Land-Attack Missile program, focusing on designing, developing, testing, and maintaining complex software systems.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) techniques using Catia Magic Systems of Systems Architect and DoDAF to develop comprehensive system models
- Manage requirements, track changes, and verify system modifications related to the Tomahawk Mission Planning (TMP) systems
- Apply interdisciplinary approaches to plan, design, develop, and verify balanced system-of-systems solutions throughout the lifecycle
- Evaluate operational needs, define performance requirements, and ensure seamless integration of physical, functional, and program interfaces
- Develop and maintain system engineering models, documentation, and communicate key modifications to stakeholders effectively
- Create and update architectures, requirements, interfaces, and algorithms for the TMP system
- Collaborate with software development teams to share expertise, review designs, and ensure system compatibility
- Drive software architecture, design, and deployment strategies through detailed documentation, tool selection, and metrics development
- Develop software requirement plans, provide technical solutions, and ensure adherence to industry and government standards
- Mentor and guide less experienced team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment
Requirements:
- Active U.S. Secret Clearance or higher
- Experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering using Catia Magic Systems of Systems, DoDAF, or similar software
- Proficiency in the .Net Framework
- Proficiency in sysML (or UML)
- Solid background in managing Department of Defense contracts
- Experience in designing system architectures
- Experience in implementing software solutions
- Experience with documentation tools such as Subversion, Azure DevOps, Git
- Familiarity with navigation modeling and flight simulation
- Strong understanding of requirements management
- Strong understanding of systems of systems integration
