About this role
eSimplicity is a modern digital services company that partners with government clients to improve the health and lives of millions of Americans. They are seeking a Business Analyst who will formulate and define systems requirements, analyze business needs, and develop technical documentation to support product development.
Responsibilities:
- Formulating and defining systems requirements through research and fact-finding
- Building a comprehensive understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements
- Performing analysis of business and user needs, documenting requirements, and revising existing system logic, as necessary
- Developing and updating technical documentation; ensuring accuracy and completeness of the team's technical requirements repository
- Working with stakeholders and agile team members to develop and prioritize concise and testable epics, features, and user stories
- Translating requirements and concepts into business language (to support client review and prioritization) and technical language (to support the development teams)
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years related experience
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related scientific or technical discipline. With ten years of general information technology experience and at least eight years of specialized experience, a degree is not required
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst
- Prior experience working with or for the U.S. Military and familiarity with Military acronyms and terminology
- Proven abilities to be collaborative and take initiative and be innovative
- Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude
- Experience with Agile methodology
- Experience with Atlassian Jira/Confluence, or other tools
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance, residing in the United States
- Flexible and willing to accept a change in priorities as necessary
- Federal Government contracting work experience
