Job Summary:
The Director of Enterprise Applications oversees the strategy, governance, lifecycle, and overall performance of critical application platforms that support core business operations. This person will lead teams to implement, maintain, and secure applications, ensuring data integrity, vendor management, and alignment with organizational goals. This role provides leadership across a complex, multi-region organization, overseeing critical systems such as ERP, CRM, HCM, OT, and service management platforms to drive operational excellence, scalability, and continuous improvement. The position also leads application automation initiatives and partners closely with technology vendors and internal stakeholders to enhance productivity, efficiency, and the effective adoption of emerging AI-enabled solutions.
In this role, you will:
System Strategy & Implementation: Develop and execute a multi-year enterprise applications strategy roadmap, manage upgrades, and lead the deployment of new software applications.
Operations & Support: Oversee daily maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of enterprise-wide applications, such as JD Edwards ERP, Salesforce CRM, Ruler CPQ, and Ignition OT systems.
Team Leadership: Manage IT staff, developers, and administrators, providing technical direction and mentoring.
Vendor Management: Manage relationships with software vendors, negotiate contracts, and handle licensing.
Process Improvement: Analyze business needs to optimize workflows and customize applications for improved efficiency.
Security & Compliance: Ensure applications adhere to data privacy and security standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
Global Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate with Infrastructure, e-Commerce, Operations and Product Development teams to ensure alignment and delivery of critical applications and business goals.
Partner with global and regional business leaders to gather requirements, set priorities, and deliver solutions that meet diverse user needs.
Delivery & Optimization
Oversee global implementations, upgrades, and continuous improvement of enterprise systems.
Ensure timely support, issue resolution, and enhancements, in partnership with global IT and business teams.
Integrate enterprise platforms into a cohesive digital ecosystem through modern APIs and middleware.
People & Vendor Leadership
Lead a globally distributed team of analysts, solution architects, and technical support professionals.
Manage relationships with key vendors (e.g., Microsoft, Oracle, Salesforce, and implementation partners).
Build internal capabilities in cloud solutions, agile delivery, and application governance.
Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; maintaining a safe and secure work environment; developing personal growth opportunities.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (MBA or master’s preferred).
10+ years of progressive experience in enterprise application leadership in a large, matrixed organization.
Experience with Microsoft, Oracle, and Salesforce platforms.
Demonstrated success delivering large-scale application implementations, upgrades, and integration projects.
Demonstrated ability to operate as a strategic technology leader, balancing long‑term vision, operational excellence, and people leadership in a challenging environment.
Deep understanding of cloud architectures, SaaS models, and cross-platform interoperability.
Knowledge of regulatory, privacy, and data residency requirements in a multi-jurisdictional setting.
