Purpose and Scope: 

We are seeking an experienced Test Lead to oversee quality assurance activities across our products and systems. This role is responsible for leading test planning, execution, and reporting, to deliver high-quality releases. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a passion for building reliable, scalable testing processes.

Responsibilities: 

·  Define test strategies, scope, and objectives for projects and releases.

·  Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.

·  Identify testing needs, resource requirements, and timelines.

·  Evaluate and recommend test tools, frameworks, and best practices.

·  Lead day-to-day test execution for functional, integration, system, regression, and acceptance testing.

·  Manage and mentor QA engineers (onshore/offshore).

·  Coordinate with product managers, developers, and business stakeholders to ensure test coverage.

·  Review test documentation and ensure adherence to QA standards.

·  Drive continuous improvement in test processes, automation coverage, and defect prevention.

·  Ensure defects are logged, prioritized, triaged, and resolved in collaboration with engineering.

·  Track test metrics and provide regular status reports on quality, risks, and readiness.

·  Support UAT planning and execution with business teams.

·  Partner with automation engineers to enhance the automation framework.

·  Identify high-value test cases for automation and maintain traceability.

·  Contribute to automated test creation if technically skilled.

Requirements

Required Qualifications: 

·  All candidates must pass public trust clearance through the U.S. Federal Government. This requires candidates to either be U.S. citizens or pass clearance through the Foreign National Government System which will require that candidates have lived within the United States for at least 3 out of the previous 5 years, have a valid and non-expired passport from their country of birth and appropriate VISA/work permit documentation. 

·  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

·  4+ years of experience in software testing including 3+ years in a lead or senior role.

·  Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and Agile practices.

·  Hands-on experience with test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Azure DevOps, qTest).

·  Experience with API testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Postman, RestAssured).

·  Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage cross-functional collaboration.

·  Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

·  Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.

·  Detail-oriented with a commitment to product quality.

·  Ability to drive accountability and manage testing for multiple projects.

·  Excellent teamwork, communication, and stakeholder management.

Desired Qualifications: 

·  Experience with automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, etc.).

·  Knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).

·  Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).

·  Testing experience in regulated industries (finance, healthcare, government) is a plus.

·  ISTQB, CSTE, or other QA certifications.

Working Environment:
eSimplicity supports a hybrid work environment operating within the Eastern time zone so we can work with and respond to our government clients. Expected hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern unless otherwise directed by manager.

Occasional travel for training and project meetings. It is estimated to be less than 5% per year.
