Fitness Counselor-Child Care Attendant

This is a part-time position working, Monday-Friday 2:30pm-9pm, Saturday rotation 8am-12pm. The start pay for this position is $14.73 per hour. Weekly earned wage access is an option for this position. 

Job Purpose or Objective(s): Responsible for ensuring that the childcare area delivers a safe and positive member experience. Provide a safe, fun and interactive environment to children using the childcare space. You will report to the Facility Supervisor.

Primary Tasks:

1. Supervise activities of assigned children within the childcare area and ensure child remains in designated area.
2. Provide childcare to children including paging parent/guardian if necessary to assisting with discipline issues or attending to personal needs (i.e., diaper changing).
3. You will entertain children with games or other approved activities.
4. You will ensure parent signs, and receive a signed copy, of childcare agreement and answer any questions regarding procedures.
5. You will perform general cleaning tasks in childcare area.
6. Verify individual checking child in/out is listed in the child's KidCheck account
7. Other responsibilities as assigned within scope and competency of associate.

Required Education and experience:

• CPR/AED within 60 days of hire.
• Patience in dealing with children, parents, and other members.
• Administer first aid to children following Wellness policy
