Developer I
Position Summary
The Developer I is responsible for interacting with the various MCPC business units and designing, building, testing, implementing, and maintaining applications to streamline the business. These may be new applications that the Developer will write, or solutions designed and handed off to another developer. Developer tools will be dependent on solution requirements and must follow standard development guidelines.
Responsibilities
Interact with business units to analyze business processes and propose new automated processes
Document business processes using standard tools such as Visio, Excel, and PowerPoint
Create programming specifications
Develop solutions based on design specifications
Maintain clear lines of communication with business units and clients
Work with department leadership to complete analysis and present findings
Develop solutions that enable accurate, data-driven business decisions
Promote modern business systems including cloud-first approaches
Key Outcomes
Deliver high-quality business process solutions
Enhance data-driven decision making through reliable SQL reporting
Required Qualifications
Structured SQL experience
Basic to intermediate programming skills
Database relationship and data transformation skills
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience
Work Environment
In-office role with limited work-from-home flexibility (four pre-approved days annually).
Physical Requirements:
The physical requirements of this job include frequent sitting with occasional walking around, carrying light objects, grasping and reaching for things, rare stooping/crouching, clarity of vision, speaking and mcpc listening ability.
The mental requirements of this job include general intelligence, motor coordination skills, coordination of hands, eyes and feet, verbal and numerical intelligence. The workplace environmental conditions are that of a temperature controlled and clean office setting. Occasionally driving to other office or client locations.
Regular attendance and punctuality are essential jobs of this position. In addition, the duties of this job need to be performed inside of our offices (unless authorized due to extraordinary circumstances by your manager and Human Resources) for the purpose of interaction and collaboration with colleagues and/or clients as necessary, the ability to adequately supervise the associate, and/or the availability of necessary equipment utilized for regular job functions. MCPc allows four pre-approved work at home days annually.
