Radiology Informatics Network & Modality Administrator I Hybrid - (260001IN)Description
A Brief Overview
The Radiology Network Administrator I functions as a team member and is responsible for the day to day management of the Enterprise Imaging System and Radiology applications at all UHHS facilities, providing technical support for radiology digital imaging systems, modalities and the PACS system.
What You Will Do
- Provide technical support for Radiology Digital Imaging systems. Supports UH Radiology PACS system.
- Notify and coordinate installations with Vendor personnel when adding new modalities, hardware or networking drops. Supports Imaging modalities, including modality worklists.
- Maintain and improve UH’s network and systems infrastructures.
- Install and configure workstation hardware and software supplied by the organization
- Assists with the development and maintenance of system documentation.
- Troubleshoots issues with vendor assistance, to resolution
- Supports/troubleshoots Radiology Informatics Supported inbound/outbound interfaces as appropriate.
- Creates reports as needed and works problem tickets.
- Develops and maintains productive working relationships with the Radiologists, Directors, Managers, Supervisors for the enterprise.
- Utilizes and maintains appropriate change control procedures and standards.
- Maintains and updates job related technical skills.
- Performs on-call duties as required.

- Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of two years of relevant experience. (Preferred) or
- Associate's Degree or registered x-ray technologist and a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience. (Required)
Work Experience
- 5+ years of experience (Required) or
- 2+ years experience working with clinical applications such as: • Radiology systems (PACS, RIS) • Laboratory systems • Cardiology systems • Emergency Department systems • Document Management systems (Required) and
- Clinical experience and workflow redesign experience. (Preferred)
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Good written and verbal communication skills. (Required proficiency)
- Ability to work in a team environment and independently (Required proficiency)
- Understanding of JCAHO and HIPAA requirements necessary. (Required proficiency)
- Knowledge of change control procedures and standards. (Preferred proficiency)
- Knowledge of MS Office. (Required proficiency)
- Knowledge of radiology workflow and terminology. (Required proficiency)
- Understands DICOM and multiple radiology modalities. (Required proficiency)
- Clinical experience and workflow redesign experience (Required proficiency)
