Job Summary
MA’AN is currently implementing a project that aims to address the critical water, sanitation, and hygiene needs of conflict-affected populations across the Gaza Strip. MA’AN is actively seeking a competent and highly qualified Emergency Coordination, Reporting, and Liaison Officer to lead the organizational engagement within relevant clusters and inter-agency forums. The selected candidate will be responsible for preparing project-related reports and supporting WASH emergency preparedness and response activities, including needs assessments, response planning, gap analysis, reporting, and information management.
The main duties include:
WASH Emergency Coordination & Liaison:
· Lead MA’AN’s organizational engagement in the WASH Rapid Response Team (RRT) by representing the organization in coordination forums, sharing information, and supporting joint response processes led by the WASH Cluster and relevant authorities.
· Act as the designated liaison with the WASH Cluster, Ministry of Health (MoH), WHO, UNICEF, and other relevant partners for coordination and information exchange related to WASH emergencies and public health alerts.
· Support participation in rapid field investigations and assessments, as requested by the (RRT) or WASH Cluster, in coordination with MA’AN’s technical teams and relevant actors.
· Contribute inputs, updates, and field information to situation reports, coordination briefs, and response plans prepared by lead agencies or coordination bodies.
· Track coordination-related action points and ensure relevant information is shared internally with MA’AN teams for follow-up.
Reporting & Information Management:
· Prepare, update, and submit routine and emergency WASH reports, including 4Ws, in line with WASH Cluster, UNICEF, and donor reporting requirements.
· Upload reports, datasets, and activity information to relevant cluster and coordination platforms in a timely and accurate manner.
· Track reported WASH activities and coverage across locations to support internal planning, coordination discussions, and gap identification.
· Maintain organized records of RRT engagements, coordination meetings, field investigations, and reporting submissions.
