Sr. Software Engineer

They are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevSecOps Engineer to lead the deployment and management of DevSecOps practices, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, mission-critical systems in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the deployment and configuration of software development tools, including build servers, version control systems, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks to ensure seamless integration and delivery
• Manage and maintain cloud-based infrastructures on AWS or Azure, as well as on-premises data centers, ensuring high availability, security, and scalability
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts using tools like Ansible to automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management
• Establish and oversee development and production environments, facilitating smooth deployment and operation of software applications
• Create best practices and methodologies for provisioning, platform scaling, configuration management, monitoring, and troubleshooting to optimize operational efficiency
• Collaborate with delivery teams to define, monitor, and achieve service level indicators (SLIs), service level objectives (SLOs), and service level agreements (SLAs), ensuring system reliability and performance
• Administer and maintain software development tools such as Jira, GitLab, Artifactory, Confluence, and SonarQube, managing updates, patches, and integrations
• Analyze and refine key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics related to software delivery and team performance to promote continuous improvement
• Lead demonstrations, monitor project progress, and communicate status updates effectively to stakeholders, including management and clients
• Drive process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and software quality, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence
• Mentor junior team members and development teams on DevSecOps best practices, providing technical guidance and fostering knowledge sharing
• Lead efforts to develop operational solutions that enable frequent, high-quality system software releases, supporting mission-critical aerospace applications

Requirements:

• A bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry from an accredited institution
• At least 8 years of experience in DevSecOps practices
• A minimum of 5 years working with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab
• Experience with Agile software development methodologies
• Experience with cloud platforms like Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Familiarity with Linux operating systems
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance, including interim or final Secret clearance
• U.S. citizenship is required by U.S. government regulations
