Crossover is seeking a Director of Educational Strategy for 2 Hour Learning, a company dedicated to transforming education through innovative learning methods. The role involves leading academic strategy, ensuring alignment across school frameworks, and serving as a public advocate for evidence-based educational practices.
Responsibilities:
- Designing academic frameworks that convert learning science principles into actionable direction for curriculum development, motivation architecture, and application design
- Overseeing academic performance reviews with Heads of Academics to ensure school teams remain aligned, responsible, and results-oriented
- Integrating data, stakeholder interviews, and direct observation into comprehensive academic ecosystem assessments that identify the most critical obstacles to learning acceleration and recommend targeted solutions
- Ensuring strategic coherence through planning cycles, continuous feedback mechanisms, and milestone oversight to sustain focus on student achievement objectives
- Serving as the external representative of 2 Hour Learning at senior forums, including keynote presentations and engagements with Ministries of Education, to influence global perspectives on educational design
Requirements:
- Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in Learning Science, Educational Psychology, Instructional Design, or a related field
- 7+ years leading academic or EdTech teams with evidence of exceptional learning outcomes
- Proven experience applying AI or technology to accelerate learning
- Track record of public thought leadership such as media, keynotes, books, or advising
- Strong performance management skills with the ability to hold elite peers to a high bar
- Fluent in interpreting data to diagnose learning issues and direct interventions
- Comfortable engaging directly with students, parents, and school leaders
- Founded or led an innovative school model, lab school, or high-performing EdTech venture
- Experience navigating cultural, political, or international education contexts
- Deep familiarity with Bloom's 2 Sigma research and other mastery learning frameworks
