Headwall is a global leader in hyperspectral imaging and applied sensing technologies. As a Regional Sales Manager, you will drive revenue growth and market penetration by identifying, developing, and closing business opportunities for remote sensing and research products.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed regional revenue targets
- Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities across remote sensing, machine vision, and research segments
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key customers, decision-makers, end users, partners
- Own full sales cycle management from lead generation through contract negotiation and closing
- Forecast sales activity and results accurately using CRM tools
- Present technical value propositions and product demonstrations to diverse audiences
- Understand customer workflows and challenges to recommend optimal Headwall solutions, including hyperspectral cameras, UAV payloads, inspection systems, and analysis software
- Train and support customers (in collaboration with applications/technical teams) on system capabilities and integration
- Continuously monitor industry trends, competitive offerings, and emerging application areas to refine sales strategies
- Provide feedback to product management and marketing on customer needs and product opportunities
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Remote Sensing, Geospatial Science, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of technical sales or business development experience selling complex instrumentation, sensing systems, or software solutions, preferably in remote sensing, machine vision, industrial automation, or scientific markets
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to discuss advanced sensing technologies and interpret customer workflows
- Demonstrated track record of exceeding sales targets and closing strategic deals
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Customer-centric with the ability to build trusted relationships at multiple organizational levels
- Proficiency with CRM systems and sales forecasting tools
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel (~20-30% or as needed)
- Familiarity with hyperspectral imaging, photonics, geospatial tools (e.g., GIS), or machine vision systems is a significant plus
