Westinghouse Electric Company is committed to providing clean energy solutions, and they are seeking a Civil /Geotechnical Engineer ll to join their Engineering and Construction team. The role involves delivering engineering support for various energy projects, participating in design reviews, and resolving execution-phase issues.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver responsive engineering support for wind, solar, energy storage, clean fuels, substation, and transmission projects within the Engineering & Construction Department
- Participate in design and constructability reviews and provide and accurate comments and feedback to avoid schedule impacts
- Support resolution of critical execution-phase issues that could adversely affect project budget and schedule if not addressed promptly
- Coordinate and secure external engineering consulting expertise to supplement and validate professional opinions
- Perform due diligence related to new technologies
- Support equipment and material technical evaluations, including review of manufacturing and fabrication non-conformance reports
Requirements:
- Master's degree in civil engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) Licensure in at least one United States jurisdiction
- Must have eight+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering performing field investigations, reviewing laboratory data, developing geotechnical reports
- You offer recommendations, observing construction activities, reviewing specifications and drawings, analyzing complex geotechnical issues, and managing complex geotechnical projects
