Circle is one of the world’s leading internet financial platform companies, building the foundation of a more open, global economy through digital assets and payment applications. They are seeking a Lead Product Designer to architect the foundational systems that power their products, focusing on user experience and interface design for complex workflows.
Responsibilities:
- Transforming Chaos into Order: Circle is transforming from a startup to a mature tech organization. You will audit existing, fragmented workflows and unify them into a cohesive platform experience
- Unified Identity: You will design how users experience Roles, Permissions, and Team Management, taking complex logic and making it intuitive for admins and end-users alike
- Centralized Billing Infrastructure: You will design a scalable billing and subscription experience that unifies how customers pay for different parts of the Circle ecosystem
- Security meets UX: You will tackle high-stakes flows like Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), SSO setup, and account recovery, ensuring that security never comes at the expense of usability
Requirements:
- You have a proven track record working on platform teams, internal tools, or design systems
- You understand the difference between designing a feature and designing a framework
- Your portfolio demonstrates a mastery of typography, color, layout, and hierarchy
- You care deeply about 'fit and finish' and pixel perfection
- You are not intimidated by technical complexity
- You can take a messy requirements document regarding permissions or enterprise billing and turn it into a clean, logical UI
- You are an expert in Figma
- You don't just draw screens; you build scalable components using auto-layout, variables, and variants that other designers can easily consume
- As a Lead, you can articulate the 'why' behind your design decisions
- You are comfortable presenting to leadership and negotiating with engineering partners to maintain design quality
- You understand that your 'users' are both the customers of Circle and the internal developers and designers who have to build with your tools
