Linktree is seeking a Staff-level Product Designer for a 6-month contract engagement. The role involves shaping user experiences for over 70 million creators by designing and delivering end-to-end user experiences, collaborating closely with product, engineering, and data partners to drive impactful design work.
Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver end-to-end user experiences across key product surfaces, from discovery and ideation through to polished, production-ready work
- Translate product briefs into clear design direction — balancing user needs, business goals, and technical constraints
- Partner closely with product managers, engineers, and data analysts to identify high-impact opportunities that help shape roadmaps
- Lead complex design projects independently, driving clarity and alignment across cross-functional stakeholders
- Contribute to and uphold Linktree's design system, ensuring consistency and quality across the product
- Take part in design reviews, presenting work with clear rationale, and incorporate feedback effectively
- Bring a strong point of view on craft, systems thinking, and user-centred design — and share that thinking generously with the broader team
Requirements:
- 8+ years of product design experience, including 2+ years operating at a Staff level (existing contractor experience, a plus)
- A portfolio that demonstrates exceptional craft, critical thinking, and a clear obsession for the end user — with examples of complex, shipped product work across mobile and desktop
- Expertise in utilizing modern AI product design and prototyping tools to rapidly create interactive, sharable concepts for feedback and testing
- Strong systems-thinking ability: you can zoom into pixel-level detail and zoom out to product wide thinking without losing the thread
- Comfortable working in ambiguity in a fast paced environment — you know how to define the problem as well as solve it
- Proven track record of influencing stakeholders, bringing cross-functional teams together, and driving alignment through inspiring, effective artifacts
- Confident, clear communicator who can articulate design rationale, trade-offs, and strategic thinking to a range of audiences
- Experience working within and contributing to product design systems
- Familiarity with experimentation and data-informed design (e.g. A/B testing, funnel analysis) is a plus
