Senior Project Manager, Product Development

Prosperity Life is a growing insurance product manufacturer seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to join their Product Development organization. This role is critical for ensuring disciplined execution and strong cross-functional coordination across the full product lifecycle, focusing on new product launches and strategic changes.

Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end project management for annuity and life insurance product launches, enhancements, and strategic initiatives
• Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, timelines, dependencies, risks, and mitigation strategies
• Coordinate execution across actuarial, IT, operations, legal, compliance, finance, and distribution stakeholders
• Serve as the primary driver of project governance, including status reporting, milestone tracking, risk escalation, and issue resolution
• Ensure product initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and in alignment with regulatory, operational, and distribution requirements
• Proactively identify execution risks, resource constraints, and cross‑initiative dependencies
• Drive alignment and accountability across teams with competing priorities
• Establish and reinforce standardized project management practices, tools, and delivery rhythms within Product Development
• Maintain institutional knowledge, documentation, and lessons learned across the product lifecycle
• Support continuous improvement efforts that strengthen execution maturity and delivery consistency

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
• 7+ years of project management experience, preferably within insurance, annuity, life, or financial services environments
• Proven experience managing complex, highly regulated, cross-functional initiatives
• Strong understanding of insurance product development lifecycles and launch processes
• Demonstrated ability to lead through influence in matrixed organizations
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Experience managing multiple concurrent initiatives in a fast‑paced environment
• PMP certification preferred
