
The Social Director is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing social, recreational, and community-building activities for the homeowners association. This role enhances community engagement by creating programs and events that promote resident involvement, strengthen neighbor relationships, and support a positive lifestyle experience within the community. The Social Director works closely with the Property Manager, Board of Directors, committees, and residents to deliver a high-quality social program aligned with the HOA’s goals and budget.
Develop, plan, and execute a wide variety of community events, activities, and programs, including seasonal celebrations, social gatherings, educational workshops, and recreational activities.
Secure venues, vendors, entertainment, and supplies while ensuring adherence to budget and community standards.
Manage event logistics, including setup, tear down, staffing, and onsite coordination.
Cultivate a welcoming environment that encourages resident participation and fosters a strong sense of community.
Gather feedback from residents to identify interests, improve existing programs, and introduce new initiatives.
Build relationships with local organizations, businesses, and service providers to enhance program offerings.
Collaborate with management to create and distribute promotional materials such as event calendars, flyers, newsletters, and digital announcements.
Maintain the community events calendar and ensure timely communication of updates or changes.
Utilize social media, email platforms, and community websites to promote events and engage residents.
Assist in developing and managing the annual social budget, tracking expenditures, and ensuring cost-effective planning.
Maintain accurate event documentation, including attendance records, vendor agreements, and post-event evaluations.
Work with the Board and committees to prepare reports, proposals, and recommendations related to community programming.
Coordinate use of community amenities such as clubhouses, pools, parks, and recreational areas for events.
Oversee and evaluate performance of vendors involved in community activities, ensuring compliance with contracts and policies.
Ensure proper care and inventory of event supplies, equipment, and décor.
