National Research Group is a leading global insights and strategy firm focused on content, culture, and technology. They are seeking a strategic and visionary SVP, Technology & B2B Growth Strategy to lead their expansion in the tech landscape, specifically targeting Enterprise AI, cloud infrastructure, and cybersecurity.
Responsibilities:
- Define priority B2B tech clients and "growth arenas," setting clear annual revenue targets and roadmaps for expansion
- Leverage your network to open doors at major tech platforms and enterprise brands, transforming high-level access into long-term partnerships
- Partner with Client Services to move from "one-off" projects to large-scale, ongoing programs that deepen NRG’s footprint within key accounts
- Proactively build and manage a high-value pipeline in collaboration with Sales Enablement, ensuring accurate forecasting and resource allocation using tools such as HubSpot
- Lead early-stage scoping, pricing, and strategic positioning to ensure new business is both profitable and flawlessly handed off to Client Services for delivery
- Determine which high-stakes pursuits require full cross-firm resources versus those that can be handled through lighter-touch processes
- Co-create the industry-leading POV for NRG's future-tech practice, collaborating with Thought Leadership to produce insights that resonate with B2B decision-makers
- Translate complex NRG capabilities into repeatable, high-impact narratives that clearly differentiate our offer from traditional competitors
- Partner with Marketing to identify high-leverage events, platforms, and stories that amplify NRG’s reputation as an expert in the enterprise AI and infrastructure space
- Work with Innovation teams to develop new tools and research methods specifically designed for the needs of B2B and emerging tech clients
- Model a "one-team" growth culture through proactive communication, early involvement of delivery teams in the sales process, and a shared sense of ownership over wins
Requirements:
- 10+ years' experience in market research/insights business development with significant time spent partnering with large technology companies
- Ideally looking for a B.A./B.S. degree in areas such as Social Sciences, Business, Marketing, Market Research, Statistics, Economics or a related field
- Proven experience nurturing and building relationships with clients, confidently providing strategic guidance to them
- Strong existing network of clients in the B2B tech space
- Experience in handling complex client issues, providing well-informed strategic counsel, at times under tight time
- Strong grounding in market research with a complex range of methodologies
- Extensive experience turning data into clear, actionable stories for decision makers
- Excited about proactively driving new business opportunities
- Demonstrated ability to shape category or account strategies, not just respond to briefs
- Strong collaborator and can partner effectively with leaders across the business to develop and deliver optimal insights for clients
