About this role
AMETEK, through its division Rauland, is a leading provider of Nurse Call Systems in the United States. They are seeking a Database Engineer to design, optimize, and strengthen databases that support critical healthcare applications, collaborating closely with various teams to enhance performance and security.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with Product Owners, Scrum teams, and stakeholders to understand requirements and recommend solutions
- Lead data modeling efforts and guide teams in database design
- Optimize performance across queries, indexing, and stored procedures
- Develop and enhance ETL and data warehouse processes
- Apply and uphold database security best practices
- Assist engineers learning to develop stored procedures
- Maintain clear, accurate documentation
- Support field teams with database‑related issues
- Contribute to business continuity planning and testing
Requirements:
- 2-5 years of Microsoft SQL Server development (data modelling, T-SQL development, etc.)
- 1+ years of SQL Server AlwaysOn configuration/management
- 1-3 years of SQL Server Integration Services development
