Full Stack Engineer

New York Technology Partners is a growing engineering team seeking a driven and collaborative full-stack product engineer to help scale, improve, and maintain the technical systems that power the business. The role involves building new features, enhancing existing functionality, and ensuring the stability and reliability of core platforms while contributing to a culture of learning and mentorship.

Responsibilities:

• Develop new features and enhancements while following best practices and maintaining high code quality
• Continuously improve technical systems to meet evolving business needs
• Ensure reliability and performance of internal and external applications through proactive support
• Propose and implement technology‑driven improvements that create meaningful business impact
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues to improve system stability and user experience
• Participate in code reviews and collaborate closely with peers
• Contribute to a culture of learning, mentorship, and knowledge sharing
• Grow into a subject‑matter expert for a key area of the platform

Requirements:

• 3+ years of professional full‑stack engineering experience with exposure to web development
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure such as Heroku, Cloudflare, AWS, or similar platforms
• Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to debug complex technical issues
• Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Willingness to learn, share knowledge, and grow with the team
• Experience with a server‑side language (Ruby on Rails preferred; Python also acceptable)
• Experience with JavaScript and React
• Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL
• Understanding of database architecture
• Experience with Ruby on Rails
• Experience with TypeScript
• Background in performance optimization or scalability
• Familiarity with CDP platforms such as Segment, Customer.io, or BlueConic
• Experience in media or journalism environments
