System Automation Corporation is an industry leader in enterprise information management applications for government agencies. They are seeking a Technical Business Analyst responsible for owning solution requirements from discovery through delivery and independently configuring production-ready applications using their low-code platform, Evoke. The role involves translating complex business needs into scalable system solutions and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure successful product enhancements.
Responsibilities:
- Lead requirements discovery with customers and stakeholders to gather and document detailed business requirements
- Review and analyze RFP requirements to ensure alignment with business goals and product capabilities
- Gather and synthesize input from various sources to inform upcoming changes and enhancements to the software platform
- Develop a strong understanding of the platform, product features, and the needs of user communities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful delivery of product enhancements
- Participate in and/or lead design sessions with designers, software engineers, and quality assurance analysts
- Independently configure and deliver solutions using the low-code platform
- Configure and maintain workflows, data models, business rules, and user experiences with an understanding of downstream impacts
- Troubleshoot and debug system errors and implement solutions to resolve them
- Participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 3-4 years of hands-on experience independently delivering business analysis and system configuration work in a production environment
- Confidently challenge assumptions and recommend alternative solutions
- Translate ambiguous business needs into concrete, testable requirements
- Facilitate discussions with minimal direction
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Comfortable working under pressure or strict deadlines
- Self-starter with a high degree of integrity and professionalism
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and product delivery principles
- Knowledge of user story creation and backlog management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with business analysis tools
- Experience with software development projects
- Experience working with low code platforms and workflow automation (MS Power Apps / Logic Apps is a plus)
- Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar agile tools
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Strong customer service orientation and experience working directly with customers
