Cato Networks is a pioneering company in cloud networking and security, aiming to become a market leader in the SASE category. The Sales Engineer Manager will lead the Systems Engineering team, fostering client relationships and providing technical direction to prevent cyber threats while supporting sales efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Recruit, train, and mentor systems engineers within the territory, ensuring team members are engaged and successful in their careers
- Establish and maintain relationships with customers to solidify reference accounts and assist account teams in developing plans to drive more business
- Support the field SE team with complex evaluations, proof-of-value exercises, troubleshooting, and challenges encountered in client environments
- Deliver highly technical, strategic content to external audiences to educate and empower our clients, partners, and employees
- Develop relationships with channel partners and their technical teams to ensure they are properly trained and capable of supporting our installations
- Serve as an escalation point for technical issues arising pre-sales and post-sales
- Lead discussions on industry trends and emerging changes in the security landscape that customers need to plan for
- Provide design consultation and best practice mentorship during the 'pre-sales' process for strategic opportunities, focusing on rollout, implementation, and policy conversion
- Offer onboarding, training, and mentoring to new and established team members to maintain high technical proficiency and independence
- Influence the sales process by partnering with clients and prospective clients to implement best practices in their digital environments
- Assist in defining the periodic SE training curriculum
- Support the Channel team in ensuring Partner SEs are trained and capable of supporting Cato Networks' evaluation installations
- Collaborate with Product Management, Technical Marketing, and R&D to develop requirements and product features for large customers and provide feedback from customers
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a presales Systems Engineering Manager leading a team of skilled technical professionals
- In-depth knowledge of security product market trends and awareness of our roadmap and technology development efforts
- Willingness to engage with customers alongside your account teams
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a relevant discipline
- General business management skills
- Passion for continuous learning in the technology fields relevant to Cato Networks
- Collaboration with account executives and system engineering teams to define a technical account plan for the region on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis
- Ability to deliver comprehensive security solutions to clients, with a general understanding of competitive selling strategies
- Experience in developing System Engineering enablement tools, such as training and demos
- Strong written and verbal communication, as well as presentation skills
