
Legal Advisory & Governance:
Provide legal counsel on business operations, contracts, partnerships, and risk mitigation.
Oversee board meeting workflows, resolutions, and corporate secretarial compliance.
Ensure compliance with Companies Act, SEBI, and other applicable laws.
Compliance & Risk Management:
Lead implementation of global compliance programs including FCPA, ABAC, UCPMP, and data privacy.
Monitor regulatory changes and ensure proactive compliance across jurisdictions.
Conduct internal investigations and manage whistleblower protocols
Litigation & Dispute Resolution:
Manage all litigation, arbitration, and regulatory proceedings.
Liaise with external counsel and ensure effective legal representation. Cross-
Functional Collaboration:
Partner with HR, Finance, Regulatory, and Commercial teams to ensure legal alignment.
Support business expansion, licensing, and M&A activities with legal due diligence.
Team Leadership & Development:
Lead and mentor the in-house legal, compliance, and CS team.
Build capabilities and ensure continuous professional development.
Qualifications
• Law degree (India/US/UK); licensed to practice in India • Eligibility for Bar membership in Ahmedabad preferred • Advanced legal/compliance certifications (e.g., LLM, MBA) are a plus
Experience
• 20+ years of experience in legal roles : • 10+ years in Indian subsidiaries of multinational pharma/medtech companies. • 5+ years leading legal teams or managing legal operations in India.
Skills
• Legal advisory across India, APAC, MEA, LATAM. • Contract drafting, negotiation & commercial transactions. • Regulatory & corporate governance oversight (FCPA, anti-bribery, etc.) • Litigation management and coordination with external counsel. • Leading in-house legal, compliance, and company secretarial teams.
Roles
• Strategic legal partner to business leadership. • Implement regional and global compliance programs. • Support employment law, internal investigations, and ethics training • Mentor, guide and develop legal and compliance team
Governance
• Ensure legal & compliance standards aligned with global framework • Work closely with global legal, HR, finance, and other functions . • Represent the company externally with regulators and legal partners • Promote a risk-aware and ethically compliant work environment
