Artificial intelligence project manager

Accion Labs is hiring an AI-First Project Manager who will operationalize AI tooling to enhance project management in healthcare technology. The role focuses on end-to-end project delivery using JIRA, driving stakeholder communications, and utilizing AI for efficient project management practices.

Responsibilities:

• Own end-to-end project delivery for healthcare technology initiatives using JIRA as the source of truth
• Produce and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, and RAID logs with AI-enabled automation and validation built into the cadence
• Drive daily progress tracking, remove blockers, and escalate when required to protect milestone delivery
• Lead stakeholder communications, executive reporting, and decision forums using AI to synthesize status and recommend next steps
• Run efficient meetings where AI extracts action items, owners, and follow-ups and feeds them back into JIRA and calendars
• Use AI to continuously surface risks and dependencies, quantify impact, and propose mitigations for rapid decision-making
• Implement JIRA workflows, dashboards, and automations that align with an AI-first delivery model and scale across teams

Requirements:

• IT Project Management
• Healthcare Technology (HIPAA compliance, healthcare data standards such as FHIR, claims formats, or EHR integrations)
• Jira required
• Copilot / ChatGPT
• Agile (Scrum or Kanban)
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster, PMP, or equivalent Agile credentials
• Demonstrated, hands-on use of LLM-based assistants (enterprise Copilot, ChatGPT, or equivalent) to create project plans, meeting minutes, status reports, and action-item automation
• 7+ years of software project management experience in healthcare technology or adjacent healthcare data domains, with strong domain familiarity including privacy and regulatory considerations such as HIPAA
• Advanced, practical experience using JIRA for planning, tracking, reporting, workflow design, and automation rules as the system of record
• Proven experience running Agile team cadences (Scrum or Kanban), facilitating cross-functional teams, and driving delivery across product, engineering, and ops
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills - able to translate AI-driven signals into clear, actionable executive summaries
• Comfortable with data and analytics - able to read forecasts, validate predictions, and apply them to risk decisions
• Hunger to experiment - a growth mindset that seeks to push the boundaries of how AI can remove manual work and drive predictability
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Prior PM experience on projects that shipped AI-enabled features or used ML-driven forecasting or automation
• Experience with enterprise Copilot integrations, ChatGPT/LLM plugins for JIRA, or other PM-focused AI tooling
• Familiarity with healthcare data standards such as FHIR, claims formats, or EHR integrations
• Hands-on scripting or low-code experience (Python, JavaScript, Power Automate) to create small automations or to partner effectively with engineers
